WITH THE WCAA

David Keitges, Miami's director of International Education thanks the WCAA for its support.

Miami students who have received WCAA international scholarships were luncheon guests at the September board of trustees meeting.

Trustees hosted an informal luncheon at the Lodge on Saturday, September 8, for recipients of WCAA international and international exchange scholarships. David Keitges addressed the group, and the students were invited to talk about their first impressions of the campus, as well as their academic goals.   Each year the WCAA sponsors a particular event on Miami's Performing Arts calendar. This fall local alums and friends were invited to a performance by the African Children's Choir after attending a pre-concert reception at Patterson Place.

WCAA president Renee Yates accepts a gift from Sudie Niesen, presented to "the women of the WCAA" in gratitude for their support. Sudie, a senior Western major, is one of several students whose summer field study in the Czech Republic was made possible by scholarships from the WCAA.

Trustee Doris Ning Wong '62 visits with students at the September luncheon.
