WITH THE WCAA

ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Thirty years ago, the 11 original bells of Western's historic Heath Chime were augmented with three new bells and placed in the newly erected Molyneaux-Western Tower on Peabody Green. To commemorate the occasion, a concert -- including "Western Blue," "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," and both Western College alma maters -- was presented by Miami's Carillonneur Randy Runyon Friday afternoon, April 25, during the weekend WCAA board of trustees meetings.

SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON

Saturday, April 26, scholarship recipients were invited to lunch with trustees at the Lodge -- a popular event at both September and April board meetings. Attending scholars were introduced and spoke briefly of their studies and goals, and Christine Taylor, Miami's new Associate Vice President for Institutional Diversity, offered comments and took questions on the university's plans to increase diversity on campus.
