FROM THE ARCHIVES

A generous gift from the Ross Foundation has allowed Miami University Libraries to digitize the Western Round-Up, further preserving the entire collection (published 1930-1971) and making it accessible to users via the Internet in the Western College Memorial Archives. There are 40 volumes (795 issues) in the collection, which was transferred to microfilm during the 1990s in order to preserve the original newspapers, all of which are housed at the WCMA, Peabody Hall, and available to the public in that form. To date, 731 issues (through 1/28/66) are online. The project, begun in early June 2006, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
