WHAT'S NEW AT THE MIAMI UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Spring Fever
Alumni Association activities are happening at a feverish pace this spring as the school year is coming to a close and we begin preparations to welcome the Class of 2007 into the ranks of our 170,000+ alumni.
As we bid farewell to these seniors and celebrate their accomplishments, we are also putting finishing touches on one of the largest reunion events in the country. I hope you are making plans to be with us in Oxford, June 14 - 17, to celebrate your Miami ties. Visit our Reunion Weekend site, where you can find all the information you need. Online registration will be available on Monday, April 9, 2007. Registration brochures will be arriving soon, if you prefer to mail in your registration. As always, we have many additions and changes for this year's celebration, including the Glee Club's 100th anniversary concert, expanded special interest reunions and an expanded KidZone area with face painters, magicians, inflatables and even a special visit from Swoop and Kings Island's Scooby Doo. Call your friends today and make plans to meet on campus!
Honors and Scholars
Miami began its University Honors Program in 1961 under the direction of President John Millett. Over 200 students enrolled in the program that first year, and literally thousands of other students have joined the program since then. We need help identifying students who were in the program between 1961 and 1984. We want to know who you are, hear your reflections and update you on the program today. If you were in the University Honors Program during that time, please go to www.miamialum.org/profileupdate and be sure that activity and any others you may have participated in are in your alumni profile. If you have not registered for the alumni website, instructions are provided below in this enewsletter.
