In just a few short weeks, thousands of Miamians, along with their friends and families, will descend upon Oxford for the biggest party of the summer. If you've ever been back for Alumni Weekend, you know how fun it is. If you haven't been back to campus for awhile, take a minute to consider coming home to Miami and bring your friends.
Alumni Weekend is filled with music, laughter, and reminiscing. Just as important, it's a chance to engage with today's Miami, to meet and experience our outstanding faculty, and to better understand why Miami remains one of the best public universities in the country. Come join us, June 12-15! Register by May 23 to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount.
The Alumni Association extends congratulations and best wishes to the graduates of the Class of 2008. Welcome to the family of Miami alumni!

Breittholz
receives top fraternity award
Brian
Breittholz, associate director of alumni relations at Miami,
received the Award of Distinction from the North-American Interfraternity
Conference (NIC) in Washington, D.C., April 14.
Keillor
highlight of 2008-2009 Performing Arts Series
The Miami Performing Arts Series announces its 2008-2009
season, where "all the actors are strong, all the musicians
are good-looking and all the shows are above average."
Dilek
and Speh to receive Harrison Medallions
Yildirim Dilek (geology) and Thomas W. Speh (Rees Distinguished
Professor of Marketing) each will receive Miami University’s
prestigious Benjamin Harrison Medallion during May commencement.
The announcement was made during faculty assembly April 16.
Miami
third in nationwide recycling contest
Miami placed third of 400 schools competing in RecyleMania
2008, an intercollegiate recycling contest that has almost doubled
each year since it began in 2001.
Miami
Mock Trial finishes year third in nation
The Miami University James Lewis Family Mock Trial Program
finished in third place in the 2008 Mock Trial National Championship
Tournament hosted by Hamlin University at the county government
center in Minneapolis April 4-6. It's Miami's highest finish
since its second place finish in 2003 and its national championship
in 2001.
