Carine M. Feyten, Ph.D.Message from the dean:

Greetings,

Miami University, like each of you, is being impacted by an economy that is the most challenging in decades. It is too soon to know how the current situation will affect the university, but we in the School of Education, Health and Society (EHS) are preparing for the new financial reality.

Despite this unpredictable economic cycle, we remain committed to building on the Miami tradition of helping students prepare to become leaders.  As an alum, you can help us by identifying graduates who exemplify how one person can make a difference in their profession or their community. Please take a moment to nominate someone you know for the Profound Impact Award.

We are fortunate in EHS to have a clear mission that allows us to focus on goals that are important to not just our students and faculty, but the communities we serve. Difficult times also provide opportunities. That's why I have no doubt that our faculty and staff will find ways to better inspire students to learn more, do more and, yes, dream more.

Fondly,

Carine M. Feyten
Dean
