Miami to add Tibetan study abroad program
Miami University has signed a memorandum of understanding with The Institute of Buddhist Dialectics (IBD) and the College for Higher Tibetan Studies (CHTS) to establish a semester-long study program for Miami students in Dharamasala, India.

Mickey Sarquis honored for lifelong science outreach efforts
Mickey Sarquis, director of the Center for Chemistry Education at Miami University Middletown, received the American Chemical Society's (ACS) 2008 Helen M. Free Award for Public Outreach. She was honored at the national meeting of the ACS - the world's largest scientific society - in Philadelphia Aug. 19.
